Hey

I've been working this summer and earned 1600 EUR (max budget biggrin.gif) .
I am using this money to build a good gaming machine.

Some things u might want to know:

- single monitor
- 1920 x 1080 res
- Os + programs on SSD
- maybe sli in the future

This is my build at the moment (note that the links will send you to a dutch site!):
Amount Product Price Subtotal
1 ASUS P8Z77-V 159,95 € 159,95 €
1 Corsair HX750W 126,98 € 126,98 €
1 Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB DDR3-1600 CL9 kit 5,00 € 5,00 €
1 Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl 111,90 € 111,90 €
1 Gelid Tranquillo Rev.2 27,99 € 27,99 €
1 Gigabyte GV-N670OC-2GD 313,90 € 313,90 €
1 Intel Core i5 3570K 222,00 € 222,00 €
1 Lite-On iHAS524 22,72 € 22,72 €
1 Samsung 830 Series 256GB (basic kit) 175,00 € 175,00 €
1 Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB 99,90 € 99,90 €
10 products Total 1.265,34 €

Keep in mind that the prices behind each product are the lowest available (80% of the price I will have to pay mad.gif)

I am not sure about the mobo (should I get a micro AtX, maximus v genve...) , psu (How much Watt is sufficient? Keep SLI in mind) or the case (should I get a midi vs full tower...)

I apologize if there are spelling errors smile.gif

Thanks in advance!

You should consider a 7970 over the gtx 670.

Stock they are about the same but the 7970 overclock like a champ thumb.gif

I would use a CM Hyper 212+ over the gelid, but both will perform well.

I would also get the desktop kit for the 830 since they include the mounting bracket!

For the RAM, I recommend the samsung ram. It's really high quality, the only downside is that they dont include heatspreaders.

Awesome build, BTW!

I know that a DVD drive is a waste of money but i have some purchased games which i want to install biggrin.gif
I hope the case is big enough and that it has good cooling (even with sli)

Is the mobo a good choice? I mean, can i overclock it to 4.5 easily?

Nice build! the gtx 670 is plentiful for 1080p gaming and the gigabyte windforce is one of the best 670's available. The only thing i would consider changing is the motherboard for an asrock variant such as the extreme 4 or 6, More bang for buck

Uhu I am sure the 670 will be great but there are indeed beter mobos.
I already saw those ASrock boards but i am not sure what to think, are they good, can you clock +4.5ghz easily?

Do you have any alternatives? (I personnaly had the sabertooth z77 first in mind)

Your chip is going to be the big factor and cooling ... So in the end 4.5 i think should very easy with the orginal cooler or the 212+ no problems.
But your milage may very depending on the chip and binning of it or what ever it is called.

I have the ASRock and LOVE IT, but depends on what color schema he is looking for biggrin.gif

I am reading some reviews, some seem positive about ASrock, others don't...
What about a micro atx board, like the maximus v gene, will this support a good sli configuration (cooling)
or is an atx board better?
