3 nitpicky problems, 2 cosmetic:
1. My XL side window came with about a 2-inch scratch near the middle of it; I'm not gonna ask for a replacement, though if offered one I'll accept, but I felt I should note that. smile.gif
2. The top drop-in mount didn't come with fan mount blanks. This is actually more of an annoyance than a problem, though since I have a front-to-back airflow configuration it doesn't really flow well to have a nearly fully open top. redface.gif
3a. I noticed the USB 3.0 cables from the front panel in SM8s with those ports are black, while the 2.0 cables in mine are blue. Since I have an NZXT IU-01 I was able to leave these out of the way and just use the sleeved cables with the hub, but it still made me wonder why it's like that.
3b. As noted by TTL in his M8 review the USB cables have header leads for each individual port rather than in standard 2-port blocks. I had thought this would be corrected after that review, which was quite a long time ago now.
Even if I hadn't won the case I definitely would have bought either it, the SMH10, or something out of the Gemini lineup whenever that's out, for my next build, and again overall I am really satisfied with the case. biggrin.gif

Hmmm... Windows shouldn't be scratched - even on "free" cases redface.gif We'll send a new one with the fan covers.

The USB panel is a trickier issue. We get them from Silverstone and they won't change the design to accommodate our needs (not with out ordering $$$ anyway). I have never been thrilled with them but at the time, we were the only boutique case builder offering an integrated USB panel. As far as I know, we still are. Custom panels are prohibitively expensive for a small company like ours, so we were kind of stuck with what was available. One of the reasons that it took so long to get USB 3.0 is that I wanted a cleaner solution and we finally got it wink.gif

Yeah the USB is going to be tricky to sleeve, but then they all are anyway. This time around I ordered 4 connectors, and the plan right now is to remove the motherboard side connectors and replace them, sleeving them before reattaching the new connectors.
The connectors are commercially available here and there, I found out thanks to a fellow OCN member, but I ordered mine from modDIY since I was ordering some other things.

Here's a not real good pic of the drain setup I made in the pedestal. SLI fitting on bottom left, Y fitting on bottom right, 90 off the Y with tubing and a valve attached.
Up top you will see a 90 on the left and a 5 way rotary on the right with tubing that connect to fittings back into the case.

Just enough room, I can't get a finger between the plugs on the end of the rads and the pedestal. wink.gif

I'm working on an SM8 build for a friend today. We're going to mount the PSU fan down and use a filter for airflow:

A ventilated fan plate could be used as well:

So, silly question. But what screws did you use to mount the filter down there? The ones that come with the Silverstone Filters? They seem a little too big to fit through the holes in the bottom of the case.

You would use the same 6-32 screws that are used to attach the solid cover plates that come with the case.

Hmmm. I must be missing something. There's nothing on the Silverstone Filters for the 6-32 screws to screw into and the screws don't catch on the case either.
