Lol, don't go there. I have a buddy who when he saw Darlene's avatar, said the usual um, ya know, guy thing. I had to tell him that its not an actual picture of the IT Diva, but that its a commonly used internet pic.

Anyways, my avatar - I used to have a black and white shot of The Duke with a bill. Part of the influence of a gaming clan. One of our guys learned a bit of photoshop and since we were playing a WW2 fps title - Spearhead - his imagination took over, and yes, the original picture was from some goofy site with actors posed in what appeared to be authentic WW2 uniforms, tho I don't see any of the swastikas, which we thought showed a little sensitivity. I'd replace it in a minute if it caused grief. The duck bill - long ago I had a friend who lived in a gated community that was billed - haha - as The Black Swan. You can see the armband with the initials - that may have contained a swastika, now that I think on it.

Now you know that a swan is a beautiful creature, the ugly young girl that grew to be a swan .. and all that. Well, with a healthy dose of anti-authoritarian chutzpah, the old friend simply referred to the community as The Duck - The Black Duck - hence the clan name and the bill. The duck is a silly ,,,, no, thats the goose. wink.gif Well, the duck is a waddler, a lesser bird than a swan in looks, size, movement, and its a dirty bird !!

yah, its hard to pizazz that little piece of avatar history into a joke, but there it is.

I was really excited about the new SM8, until I began to see the unboxing photos. It’s just a different form factor, retaining all the same parts and the exact same styling as all the other CL chassis. If you’re already a CaseLabs fan, that’s probably a very good thing. I just don’t think too many new non-CL customers will be lining up at these high prices. I was hoping for real competition with Corsair, for the health of the industry to move technology ahead for enthusiasts.

nope. going to remain a niche.

Kevin and Jim, the World Series was amazing, sorry you missed it guys! The outcome could not have been better.smile.gif
