Colours are eithe too saturated or too grainy, I go for the former settings in games as its less noticable but whites are really bright as are yellows. So things on the desktop just don't look right, such as viewing files and folders in Windows Explorer. Everything desktop related is done on my 30" monitor, having Steam running and gaming is done on the Asus,
The monitor is quick for FPS games and 120Hz is a real treat but they are just too many compromises with the technology at the moment. Most of the panels have bad colour accuracy, the 60Hz TN I am currently typing on at work has more far more accurate colours. I don't like the fact the monitor is completely covered in glossy plastic either, makes it feel cheap. In fact most of the 120Hz screens out (except the BenQ XL2420T) are designed to look like TV sets covered in garish glossy plastic.
I hope you find something that meets your requirements. What monitor are you coming from? And have you had the chance to use a good quality IPS before?
thanks for your input i guess the asus is out of my way now lol. id go benQ but i hear the monitors colors are the worst and i had a bad experince with them, long story short i bought the benQ xl2420t with a gtx 680 rig, returned everything sadly... but the benQ never arrived at my house. even though all the customer support guys seed it "should have" and "i dont know." 2 months latter i finally get my money back.. o well learned my lesson.
