Best Headphones for gaming $100-$199 - Page 6

Anyone rate the Sennheiser PC 360's?

They look to have large ear cups to fit your entire ear in, my biggest hate for headphones is having part of the cup sit on your ear, its starts to hurt after a while :/

I purchased the Plantronics GameCom 380's and can not recommend them, the sounds are fine for someone who is not an audiophile, bass is fine, but the shape of the ear pads makes me want to throw up and I should have looked at them closer before buying them.

Why the hell make SQUARE ear cups!!! they feel like crap to wear, and seriously start to hurt after a while.

Had a lot of fun playing Borderlands 2 w/ the KRK's last night. Not a lot of soundstage, but the level of detail makes up for it. A bit tight on the head too...not the ideal gaming headphone, but a great $100ish buy.

AD700 for Gaming, unless you want some Bass, the JVC RX700 is pretty good. Pair it with a nice sound card and you will be good to go!thumb.gif

sound is excellent, crisp. 5x better that G35/930 and comfort is like 10x better. lighter, they dont sqeeze ur head, open style so no pressure.. and whole ear is in them, no pressure on ears. really a relief after those "gaming" headsets. soundstage is great and with Xonar DGX you can use Dolby Headphone to simulate surround if you like that.

I'm looking @ the Shure SCH 940's now...the KRK's do lack a bit too much in soundstage for fun gaming. I've owned the 770's before, but they were far too bassy.

I'm really trying to kill 2 birds w/ one stone and it's hard...music/monitoring and gaming in a closed headphone...and I want soundstage, lol!

yeah i've been considering the Shure 840's. i like my DT770's but i'm toying with the idea of finding something new. looking for something with emphasized mids, closed, large soundstage. if you pull the trigger on the 940's make sure to report back with how you like them.

Or course. But to be completely honest, I prefer the KRK 8400's over even the DT880 Premium 600 Ohms because they're just more FUN to listen to. The 840's were even better when I demoed them in Guitar Center. I'm really leaning towards the 940's right now.

The best thing you can do, is go to a place like guitar center and give some headphones for a listen like the ones mention, As well A900X. Then pick the one which you like. Because only you will know what one you will like and not like. No one can tell you what you will like. You have to use your own ears, because you could get something and not like it without hearing it first.

Do the PC350 have simulated dolby surround using a Creative Recon3d card?

I still have yet to decide on a headphone for gaming (not just FPS gaming) and still be good for music and movies. I know there is probably not a great all around headphone for all those but I don't really want to get the A700s which have 0 bass.

Wish there was a place to test out some PC350s
