http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-ti-memory-bandwidth-anti-aliasing,3283-11.html

it looks like forms of anti-aliasing really kill the memory bandwidth limited cards... with even the 7870 beating the 670 at 8x

this chart illustrates it very well i think. it almost makes the amd cards interesting.... almost.

Pretty interesting, hadn't come across that one before. I'm almost wondering if I botched it by going with the 660 Ti? Then again, if all my games run fine with 4xMSAA/4xSGSSAA, then why should I be worried? The wormhole of GPU comparisons is never ending, its almost scary to sift through review after review. laughingsmiley.gif

tell me about it! seems like there's always a way to justify spending more than you want to haha.

i'm still having trouble justifying upping to a 670, as the 660ti has enough horsepower for 1080p and i wont be going 1440p for at least 4-6 months, if i even do at all. I'll probably just go 660ti and ebay it when that time comes.

this 5850 has been a nightmare, haha. trying to fight the stupid dvi flicker when multiple displays are connected. i actually have to have it upclock at idle to get rid of it rolleyes.gif

All those frame latency measurement reviews i saw here sold me on nvidia. some amd's might have more raw fps but the fps quality isn't there.

I just kept looking around the net. One day I stumbled on a deal Best Buy had for $279. Personally, that's the lowest I have seen it (EVGA Superclocked) so I went for it for SLI.

Someone posted that Fry's had ASUS DC2 660Ti's for $239ish...

That's a steal.

269 for the asus dc2 oc seems like a good deal for online

edit: its actually 249$ after a 20$ rebate. you just have to select amazon as the seller.

Here is the list of pretty much everyone (except Fry's). 660Ti list from Partpicker.

It does look like the one from Fry's is still on sale. $259 with a $20 mir. Fry's link.

Def. the best deal going.

that list doesn't show the 20$ mir on amazon.

At fry's you'll have to pay tax, so it would actually be cheaper on amazon. so 259+ 9.5% average us sales tax

so fry's is actually ~283$ - 20$ mir vs amazon 269-20$ mir

edit: unless you live in one of the 9 states amazon charges sales tax in
