Just quickly wondering if you guys are using 'User Defined' Fan Speeds in MSI Afterburner? Could you guys post up your current settings if you use it. Mine doesn't seem to be doing it for me xD

Ok, since you have a MSI as fan profile goes hand in hand with cooling/fan setup .

the cooling on MSI 660ti PE is one of the best IMO , you don't need high idle rate and mine hardly goes above 50-52% at full load (under 60c).

here my fan points I use ,

fan point1 = 36% @ 30c
fan point2 = 50% @53c,
fan point3 = 80% @78c
fan point4 = 100% @90c

What's the "normal" factory overclock for this card? I have had this for a while but haven't bothered with overclocking and MHz etc until recently. I'm using MSI Afterburner to monitor Coreclock and stuff, and I've noticed it goes up to 1189 MHz when I play BF3 for example. Is this a good factory overlock?
E: It's the MSI GTX 660 ti OC PE btw biggrin.gif

What it does it re-enable the uP6262 regulator to work again (MSI was forced to disabled it in newer versions of AB (2,2,4+ ). with these lines the regulator gets the added off set voltage .

PS: I had same issue with Heven 4.0 vers 3.0 and driver 314 seemed touchy with OC's . I was at 1228 and now back down to 1202 . I haven't tried to raise it or compensate with offset voltage yet .

The only 2 games I have that really push this card at res I can run (1600x1200) is FC3 and BL2 and both run nice at almost everything max (no AA though) .

I had the core voltage slider maxed out. and was using AB 2.3.1 and Heaven 4.0 was unstable.. All I did was add these lines and it is stable once again. So the voltage is higher then - by how much?

Previous to this I had to back down from 1228 too on Heaven 4.0 and I had to back the memory down from +550 5to +475. .

That is about right for MSI 660ti PE/OC , mine I generally see 1189 or 1202 depending on App and temps .(note as I mentioned before I think if you set a fan profile and it keeps temps below 60c then the card drops down one notch (1202>1189 , now since I normally always are below 60c in most all appp I just bump AB clock 13+ . now I am at max stock OC and still cool , of course you can raise in more if you want .

Well that is the down side of MSI 660ti PE's you never know what the total voltage is but I would just add offset to the highest 1.175 , since I find the card does 1.162-1.175v when at 100% .

I would not just max slider even though I bet there is a cap value , I would try 20-30mv first .
That should give you "about" 1.182-1.205 , thats just me, I would try lower setting first unless your shooting for highest possible then try 50mv that would give 1.212v or so and I think its capped at there but not sure .
I honestly don't know the voltages I have searched out anyone actually read the back core voltage of chip with volt meter but came up with nothing on MIS 660ti PE , that would be only way to see real voltage but I don't want to take chance of shorting anything during the probing

Hey guys, I was at my local Micro Center and I noticed a EPIC ERROR, thought I would share it in this club as it relates to 660TI. (I didn't ask but has to be a mistake)

I would like to remind everyone on this guide on how to unlock your 660 Ti bios and max out power limit and voltage smile.gif

http://www.overclock.net/t/1302409/official-nvidia-gtx-660ti-owners-club/1250_50#post_19314756

Im running 1320mhz on the core and 1800mhz on the memory stable now smile.gif
But again, remember to keep fans spinning when raising voltage! u want good cooling and airflow.
