I was under the impression buying this 3GB Galaxy 660ti would at the very least allow me to play CS:GO pretty much maxed out at 1900x1080, but at high settings I only get 80-100 FPS. I'd like to get 120 FPS at high settings to match my monitor at 120hz frown.gif

Got 4 days off starting tomorrow so I will do some more testing but on my SLI EVGA SC setup I'm getting 1202/3400 stable. BIOS modded to 150%, max freq 1228, fan 25-100 (w/ custom profile). Thing is, I have to run downsampled as I have a 1680x1050 monitor, so when I run Valley its actually at 1600x1200. I know the downsampling causes quite a big hit. I'm also curious about the fan profile thing from earlier in the thread. Right now I have the cards to run at 70% @ 60c but it is indeed loud (idle @ 25% is silent, so nice). Thinking of trying a max fan of 50% and seeing what kind temps/crashes I get.

Anyone else running EVGA cards? Just curious what kind of performance people are getting with them.

I run mine in SLI bog stockos 1124 / 3636 which gives me 69fps in valley . Love to do the bios mod but I am getting a little out of my depth with that frown.gif They will do 1054mhz KBoost then I add + 70 to get 1124. Mem I just add +636 and 110% to power limit and +50 on volts and Ta Da thumb.gif Very easy. Yours sounds like the bios I could use smile.gif

Man, very nice with the mem. These cards really need the memory boost more so than core, for sure. I cannot get mine past +450 and stable, it always crashes. Maybe I'll drop the core a bit and try again. Highest I ever got was +475 but in Heaven bench it would crash.

As for the bios mod, it really wasn't that tough to learn if you're interested. Just make sure to make a backup of your stock bios and the rest is easy enough. Still, if you don't feel comfortable with it, leave it alone smile.gif

If you make a backup of stock bios is it easy to reflash it to that?

I have question for anyone, has anyone seen higher power% with increase slider above 100% . My MSI 660ti PE?OC only goes to 90% with res and games I run but just wondering if the slider even works above 100% .

I know it works below 100% , set it to 80% and get throttling .

Yes, I see ~105-108%. Sure you aren't looking at usage %? Because I rarely see that hit 100%, usually its 95-98%.

Did some quick benches for kicks when I got home from work. One is with native res and the other is with downsampled res. Cards are 1202/3406 (-20/+400) w/ 150% power limit and 1.20mV (which goes to 1.21mV on load). I don't think they're as good as possible, I need a CPU that can OC.

I can set mine to 140%, and in shader intensive tests/games, the card will approach 130%. It is possible. However, you must have a very fast CPU, and the GPU must be stressed to the max in order to hit that point.

My current CPU has a difficult time hitting that, but your 3570k should have no issue. Try something like "Catzilla" benchmark. It will go over 100% TDP quite often.

As for games, Far Cry 3 is the only game I currently have that consistently hits over 100% TDP.

ok, you both have evga cards but I guess that don't mater much (evga precession and AB should work the same) .

My highest res is only 1600x1200 on min 21" 2007FP Dell monitor and in Far Cry3 I get tops 90% @1228or1241 , that's with only 10mv+ on voltage (approx 1.175-1.180v ) . I guess if I raise voltage slider some more and raise clocks to 1267 or so to test it , might be enough to go over 100% were I need more (up to 114%)

I just read somewhere some with 6xx the slider doesn't do anything (meaning it throttles at slightly above 100% even though they have it set much higher) .

PS : I have my 3570k only mild OC, just 4.0 , so I have headroom there to play .

only reason I haven't raised OC on CPU is I like the cooler temps (I am 60c with prime95 type BM , games mid 50c ) . I know once you get near 4.4+ and voltage 1.125 temps tend to go a lot higher 70C+
