I don't know, but if they changed this, it must probably because it wasn't even right to begin with wink.gif
And from what i could tell, the issue is not really cooling, and yes voltage oscilations.

I'm sure that in this club, there will be people with MSI's getting GREAT Overclocks and others not so...

I haven't modded any of my BIOS and the cards themselves both of them with just Afterburner gets me clocks in the modded BIOS range.
knock on wood I have no issues and all the performance thus far.. smile.gif

I read that toms report but IMO it being misunderstood or I am misinterpreting it .

To me its talking about one component that is being run out of spec ,but this has nothing to do with voltage your GPU or mem see's .
AL PE and lightening have more voltage phase's than reference so there more stable voltage and the use of high grade parts .

the 660ti out of box run solid 1202 , yes there are others that are OC higher by default like Asus but i heard some have to down clock a bit as its not stable with certain apps .

I haven't modded my BIOS yet biggrin.gif Just using AB to up the volts... however, my primary card gets too hot. So they're gonna sit at they're at.

lol ASUS can't OC even +1mhz

But I must decide which 660Ti to pick for my SLI:
-MSI
-PNY
-EVGA
-Gigabyte
-Point of View
-ASUS

I personally would get the same model card . that way both "should" act the same, except for maybe clock speeds in SLI use .

I heard a lot of good about the msi PE power edition cards. Other than that IDK, I'd just go with whatever one has best cooling and is cheapest tongue.gif

same exact models...... I'm OCD about it too... tongue.gif
I know that you can just use AB or Precision to set the cards at the same specs but not me....
I want a matching set.

right, with no reference cards ,it seems each model sets up there bios there own way ,so two of same should both perform the same or have best chance to .

I'm with mal and Ed.... Get the matching card. Unless you don't like your current card and want to do a swaperoo, get the card that appeals the most then ditch your current for another one later. Or tri-SLI thumb.gif

I've always wanted a Twin Frozr card and didn't get one till I got these 660Tis.... Best decision I ever made I believe.
