Take this review with a grain of salt though, since even the mighty GTX 670 256-bit bus lost badly!

For me, the bus isn't really, or seems, much of an issue, really!

Thanks for the welcome! I found another thread in this forum where people posted scores using the Pyrit benchmark.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1256450/post-your-pyrit-benchmarks-here

A guy there with a 670 got close to a 28K score so I think that's about where mine will score, give or take some points. Tong, BTW in the quote above, were you referring to my post?

The bus one? Well, it's by far one of the most asked questions regarding this card... so it's better to let everyone knowing haha

BTW!!!!

And oh my god, Gigabyte is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more silent than the reference model (EVGA). At 95% I was expecting my case to taxi and take off the windows, but then I was like "I-is that all!?"

I seriously recommend this brand if silence and performance are top priority!

WE SLI NOW.

I'm at 1228 / 3400 (+150 / 400 in eVGA precision) and my best was 68.5 fps.
Can't get my memory nor GPU clock any higher though or the drivers start crashing..... which to me is kinda surprising as literally every 660 Ti I've seen was able to get 3600 on the memory..

Try lowering your core clock than increasing your mem clock. It's weird, but it can help.

What are the temps of the top card like this??? I have a Lian Li 354b so this is a configuration that I am seriously considering as I look into SLI. My current card is the 3Gb EVGA reference card with the backplate.

On stock and after a Heaven run, reached 69ºC@95% fan...
As for the EVGA below, 71ºC@Auto settings (noise wasn't much of an issue since somehow the top vga muffles the noise abit)

But they say ASUS and MSI have better cooling systems. wink.gif

How can you run those in SLI since they are different manufacturers and possibly a different version? I have two EVGA 8800 GTS but one is the 512mb version and the other is the 640mb version but both are EVGA. Is it possible to run those in SLI?

8800 GTS 640MB = G80 Chip
8800 GTS 512MB = G92 Chip

They're different chips, so I don't think so .
But you can run different brands, as long as the chips are the same! wink.gif

btw, my top card on slot 1 is running at x4:
http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/g2ymp/

Why? It used to be x16 in single...

with my sli cards, i noticed on the sabertooth that one was running x8 and the other@x16.

I figured it out that it was because i had installed the second card first then put the top card in....somehow it messed up the x16 x16 lol. stuck top card in then second and it went back to x16 smile.gif

Just a thought if it was the same case here as the other guy said u should be x8 x8

Ah ok.

BTW, this is totally unrelated but I have to vent my frustrations. I have a Gigabyte UD3P-EP45 V.1.6 with a 4GB kit (2x2GB) of G.Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK and I also have a 4GB kit of OCZ2RPR1066GK and I can't for the life of me get either of the 2 pairs to work on their own. I can get one stick of each kit working by themselves but if I put the G.Skill pair in no matter what I do its unstable. I've already checked the sticks and there are no errors and there is nothing wrong with the board.

A helpful link I found was this - http://gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=1169

But not helpful enough. I have a feeling I'm going have to RMA the G.Skill back to Newegg and get something else. Has anyone on here ever had an issue like this or had any memory related issues with this Gigabyte board? Also, if you have or had one of these boards and you had it running stable, what kind of memory did you have in it?

Mongoose

***EDIT***

One more thing, I got my Artic MX-2 in yesterday or the day before. I'm going try it out in a couple of days on my 660 TI and I'll let you know what kind of cooling improvements I get. Remember though I have the Sig2 version which has dual fans and a better heatsink so it might not reflect the results you would have with a regular EVGA 660 TI.
