I'm actually checking that now, just taking a bit longer than expected to put Adobe Reader in.

Got it now, should have payed more attention but when you spend 2k on hardware and it doesn't turn on and then doesn't display... things may slip from your mind.

I can't answer why they use those 2 slots , other than to get dual channel . I am assuming if it does work it works better or more stable in ones they list .

It used to be you wanted to use the closest slot to the CPU for shorter traces but that seems to have changed .

I see... might even solve the hardware detection issue I'm having with 3DMark 11, hopefully it shows 800Mhz when I swap it.
I'm anxious to find out what happens and the results.
So am I, I'll do it now.

The modules are in place now and I just got my highest 3DMark 11 score by far... http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/6647886 still showing 667Mhz. Seems to be a bug or an issue with the software, pretty sure it's still running at 1600Mhz though.
That's good, don't worry about 3dmark11 says , maybe it just reads SPD (JEDEC) , who know . but go by bios and CPU-Z .
You could also check something like HWinfo64 which is pretty good for system info .

exactly..
like I stated earlier I go by CPU-Z over 3dmark..
Hey SteZHD, Seems like you got your 3DMark11 score up a bit higher then when we were chatting last night. That's good! The research I did shows that the 667mhz memory speed you see is a 3DMark error/glitch. Go by whatever CPU-Z shows.
