This isn't a normal noise for a 660ti fan, is it?

Noise starts around 0:18~.

Excuse the awful video and my odd case, tongue.gif, also for some reason my mouse clicks seem hugely loud. You can hear the low whine constantly. Seller said it never did this with him.

Also why does the fan in afterburner only go up to 80%?

Hi - did anyone find a way to fix the TDP throttling issue on Power Edition MSI cards?

My 660Ti still throttles whenever it reaches 101-102% TDP, even though I set it to 114%.

From what I've read all over the internet it's a common BIOS problem. There is a fix to 670 Power Edition - Galaxy BIOS. But for 660Ti I've found none. Did MSI made any statement about it? Or should I just RMA the card? The reason why I'm asking now is because it started to be a problem for me. Before it happened only in benchmarks and in games it didn't reach 100% , not even 90.

But I started to play Sleeping Dogs and with full AA card reaches over 100% all the time and it TDP throttles all the time. My temps are under 64 degrees.

hmm can't really tell from the vid.
does Precision have any better interaction including fan or you only use Afterburner.?

Don't bother RMA it as there nothing wrong .
The issue is MSI have raised the power default 100% value in bios over what other cards are so if you set default to 1005 on slider it starts throttling at around 90 or so and if you put slider to 114% it throttles at 102 .
only thing would be try raising power values but I don't think it will help to much from reports back of moded bios .

Also those that flashed there 670PE ot another brand lose triple voltage control , so something to think about .

Ok - what Are safe values to set on memory and aux voltage? Are they necessary before reaching +100mv core v? I can run my memory 7600 MHz but I need +50mv mem voltage - isn't that too much?

I don't know what safe is, I say that depends on how long you plan to keep card .

What I would sujest is to weigh the amount of clock speed you get verse the voltage and find sweet spot .
If you have a lot of voltage added then TDP goes up .

how high can you get on memory with it 0 voltage offset ?
7600 is very high .

That said 50mv is not that high but if you can get 80% of that clock at 20-30mv I would go there, same with core voltage ,find sweet spot .
