I see it says his boost clock is 1253Mhz but his card will boost beyond that depending on temp. I have my card set at 1100 base and 1178 boost yet in games its typically running @ 1267Mhz. He should be well over 1300, which is BAD A S S !! biggrin.gif

Now you're getting me all excited! haha Anxious to rerun...!!! biggrin.gif I'll get something up this eve....!!!

EDIT: I flaked..sort of. I went from +155 to +160 and it ran and passed. After I did that, I realized I forgot to start a log for my specs. I reran and it crashed... So at full rest, it passes, but after back to back runs it does not. At what point do you call something stable?

By the way - scored even lower @+160 Strange...

I ran into the same problem as you, I eventually got to a point that higher clocks started having a negative impact. I end up realizing better performance with increased mem and decreased core clocks. So I began pushing the memory clocks after that. I had to lower the core clock slightly but the increased mem made up for it. Also I soon realized that Heaven isn't a good indicator for finding stable clocks, I tried playing Crysis 2 with my max clocks in heaven and it crashed after about 45 minutes. My highest clocks in Heaven were +95 Core and +746 Mem, I backed them down to +80 Core and + 596 Mem and haven't had any problems with Crysis 2 even after a couple hours. I have just left it there, I could possibly gain a little more but its not worth my time to gain 1-2 fps.

Good to know! I tried pushing my memory clock into the 700's last night in Heaven and got a funky wingding light show. That was with core at +100 still. I'll try dropping the core a bit. My temps never exceeded 65c though due to my fan curve. Sure, it gets a little loud, but stays cool! haha

@scotthulbs - can you post your Afterburner settings?

Off topic question: Is there any way to have your cpu and gpu temps display over a full screen game window?

You probably hit your cards limit. In your OP you noted that the card as already running pretty high. When your card is stable you shouldn't have any issues when running benchmarks. When I use MSI, I usually run Kumbostor for a few minutes to see if any issues pop up before I jump into Heaven. If Kumbustor crashes or I see any anomalies, I know to scale back (or up) incrementally on some of my settings.

Every card is different so Scott's settings may not carry over to yours. You have to find the sweet spot specific to your card.

I'll disable SLI on my cards and benchmark them and post results later tonight. I'm interested to see how they compare to your guys' cards. (That last part was bad English, I know.)

I realize his settings may not work for my setup, but I like to see what settings work for other people. Also, Kumbustor is always my first step.

I have all 3 voltage and power limiter set to max. For everyday use I have the Core +80 and the Mem +596 ( just to make a nice round total smile.gif ) I too get a fireworks display when I started pushing the memory over +746.

You can use HWiNFO along with MSI Afterburner to get everything you could want displayed in game, here is a link to help you get it running
