I had a 5850 before and already cleaned all ATI drivers and stuff. What could be wrong?
At this resolution, CPU bottleneck shouldn't be an issue.

That score is about right for GTX 660 Ti. nothing wrong with your card.
The guy above my post got exactly the same score as yours too.

How much do you get with the built-in Benchmark? 100 fps is a little high especially with 8x CSAA

Unless I see more users getting fps/points like ours, I'm afraid that we've got a bad card... What's your CPU btw?

You're right, for Unigine it seems right. But for games not so much... I've seen videos of people playing Sleeping Dogs with 70fps+ outside.

Anyway, my Dirt 3 result, on stock. I'm using MSAA x4 btw:
2h696di.png

Average:80.87
Min:65.89

while we're at it, Vantage score:
fmjci9.jpg

Some reviews got way higher scores... 25~27k I think. 22k is GTX570 score...

Also checkout THIS 660Ti:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7f01wqSLwWQ

PLUS, I can't find the TXAA option on Control Panel.
Using the latest BETA drivers.

Using the latest BETA drivers.

1- TXAA is supported in specific games and It is not available in Nvidia Control Panel.
http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-Inspector-1.9.6.6-download-2612.html This can show you some hidden AA settings. Some of them have better quality than the ones in Nvidia CP but they are fps killers.

2- Vantage score is very CPU dependent. I guess your CPU at 3.6 GHz is bottlenecking the card.

3- Same story about DiRT 3, you can monitor GPU usage (using EVGA Precision/ MSI Afterburner) and see if it is not constant 90~99% then you are CPU bottlenecked.

4- Sleeping Dogs is very demanding. it is highly unlikely to get 60 fps in that game with everything maxed. even a 7970 can't. But if you lower AA a notch it is going to greatly increase your framerate.

I concur w/the rest of your post, but I feel compelled to mention that CPU bottleneck is only one of quite a few possible causes for lower GPU usage. Statistically-speaking it's probably the most common reason for the occurrence, but all it really means is that there's SOMETHING in your system that's stopping a certain part of your GPU from running at full capacity. That 'something' can even be a different part of your graphics card ... like if your memory bus was saturated ... that could cause less-than-full GPU usage as well thumb.gif

Will OC'ing my Q9650 to 4+ghz solve this?

I can spend 80$ on high-frequency DDR2 RAMS instead of 500$ on a new kit.

There's no such thing as 'solving' it. The faster your cpu, the less likely it becomes that your cpu will be a limiting factor to performance on any given frame rendered, and the less severe it will be when it happens.

Well, I guess I can consider it solved when I get 27k GPU Score on Vantage on Stock clocks, don't you think? wink.gif
