If you bought a brand-new card, return this immediately and contact your store!

^this. Also, the majority of GPU manufactures do not shrinkwrap their boxes any more. I am sure others here who have recently got their cards would agree. Everything else is proof that sumthin' ain't right.

Thanks for the input!

As far as the shrink wrap, All the unboxing videos of this card on youtube, have a plastic shrink wrap on the MSI box confused.gif

Well, just called newegg for an rma...let's see how it goes when I get my replacement. I hope I can get a better overclock of more than just +10 on the core!

Thanks guys!!! thumb.gif

My EVGA model definitely came with shrink wrap and everything was perfect. Not bagging MSI though, have used their cards in builds for friends before and they were all perfect too, really like their twin frozr models!

In terms of reliability, performance and price.

Well no prize to what my preference is, eVGA for sure. Best warranty support and what not, love the aesthetics and if you are planning on running an SLI set up blower style fans are better as they exhaust the hot air. If you are running a single card set up I'd get an MSI or ASUS dual fan card as they will keep the GPU nice and cool and quiet.

I really like the MSI model. It had several features that helped me decide to buy it. Triple voltage for better overclocking, twin frozr cooler which gives a very quiet card in my experience, and "backplate" which helps to prevent warping. I have no complaints, and am planning to buy another one for SLI.
My previous setup was EVGA GTX460 2GB SLI, and I was incredibly happy with those cards too. The only problem I had with them was noise. My motherboard has the PCIe slots so that I had to have the cards right close together, which starved the top card for air. These had the reference cooler.
If you plan to go with liquid cooling, I would suggest reference design card. If not, then I would definately get a card with a better cooler. Just my 2cents.gif .

So if I want to SLI two MSI GTX 660Ti's in the future, will my Corsair HX650w PSU be enough?
