As far as I know artifacts are generally from a too high memory overclock...?

Those are two different artifacts. My question is which one is artifacts because too much overclock on core clock and which one is artifacts because too much overclock on memory clock?

Top is core, bottom is memory.

That is usually the case, but not always. There are exceptions to the rule.

Welcome! Make sure to post your OC results in the Overclocking form on the first page! thumb.gif

I recently finished my first build with a MSI GTX 660 ti OC edition. What I was wondering is, is it pre-overclocked or do I do it myself and how do I do that?
It's pre-overclocked. The standard core clock is 915 MHz. OC versions do tend to be able to clock even higher though.

Thanks do you think I should overclock it further or leave it ? Its an ASUS p8z77-PRO in a HAF XM case.

If you're happy with the performance, there's no need. But this site is called "Overclock.net" for a reason sneaky.gif

Yeah smile.gif I mean will I get much more performance than I already have without having to upgrade cooling. My case is HAF-XM with stock fans and mobo is P8Z77-V PRO

Also, on an unrelated topic, is my card compatible with water cooling? Eventually, I hope to watercool this system but its on a long list of things to do.

You can always do this. thumb.gif
