That's a pretty amazing score with a single 660!

My msi 670 PE got about that (mind you I haven't touched the mem yet, but I could only get my core offset on it to +60 stable.)...

thumb.gif You know what that means... time to take my 670 back and just crank my single 660 rolleyes.gif

Hey guys! I recently got an EVGA GTX 660 Ti (regular one), and the specs say 915 MHz GPU and a 980 MHz Boost Clock, but while playing Crysis 2 ME on max settings with everything on ultra, EVGA precision has the card reading at an (almost) constant rate of ~1084MHz, This is my first GPU so I just want to make sure if everything is running ok..don't want my card to die haha. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks smile.gif

Gonna take a lot more to kill your card. Are you new to OC'ing and what's your temps like under load? I was playing around w crysis 2 the other week and noticed my temps went up into the 80s during the cut scenes. Temps are the main factor when it comes to degradation. You want to be below 70c under full load with these cards.

I kept the fan at a constant 55% the first hour or so of play and the temps were around 64-69%, around 60% during the cut scenes. Today I had the fan at about 60% and the temps were 59-65%. Thinking of adding a fan to my case that points directly at the GPU to keep things cooler while keeping the GPU fan to auto.

Also, I am relatively new to the OC'ing scene haha. Haven't even OC'd my i5-3570k yet. Keeping things stock until I learn more about everything haha.

P.S. Thanks Tong for your message as well!

You can look into making a fan profile for you card using Precision X or another program. I found the auto fan speed on my card was letting the temp getting close to 70c and not even maxing out. Using the fan profile allows you to set a idle speed and to automatically crank the fan speed up to keep even lower temps.

well my evga 660 ftw (ti s little brother smile.gif) should be 1137MHz but its running out of box on 1178MHz. also my fan curve was not active so i had 43% fan speed always and after i made a rather sharp curve i got from 72C to 58C when 99% in FC3 smile.gif
