Creative X-fi, when ever I install drivers for this card it makes things sound weird. But if I don't install Drivers for it the card sounds pretty good on it's own. I just re-installed Windows 7 for the millionth time and I could swear that the audio sounds better when I don't update the drivers to Creative's drivers. This doesn't sound right to me, also what bugs me about Creative's sound drivers and many other Driver packs that support Creative X-fi is that it will install several programs that aren't needed and sometimes spam my computer.
I remember last time like last week when I installed the Creative Sound drivers from Windows 7 Creative X-fi drivers and every-time my computer would start up I would be spammed by some stupid Creative product saying checking for updates with a very ugly big window (THIS happened every-time I turned Windows on!!!). So, I've been giving this expensive sound card from my Cousin which is awesome, but at the same time it's crazy how many issues I've had with this card especially Creative X-FI spamming my computer with programs that aren't needed for this sound card and always checking for updates when I re-start computer.
Are Sound Cards suppose to make things sound weird? Creative X-fi, I have it plugged in with 3 cords. Green, Yellow(orange), and black, is that correct? Maybe I should shut off my computer and take a picture to show you which cords I have plugged into the back of my sound-card to make sure I have the right cords connected? I'm pretty sure I do, but maybe I don't???
Specs:
Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker System
Sound card Creative Xi-fi(DO not know which version of this card is, my Cousin never gave me the driver disc when I asked for them. Good chance he lost the driver disc. Not that you need them, but it would be nice if I knew exactly which sound card I'm dealing with)
I'm thinking something isn't set up right with my rig, and I have to find the solution out.
Mind you if you want me to take screenshots, I definitely will but my good camera is broken and I don't own a Samsung or Iphone for camera purposes. I however own a Playstation Vita that takes some of the worst picture quality I've seen in low resolution.
