I am a full time student and I print a lot of stuff all the time. Over hundreds of pages. I have been doing some research and looking around for the most cost efficient solution to print steadily at this same pace for the next couple of years. I do not care about any extra special feature such as wireless, or scanner, or memory card reader etc.... I also do not care about color printing. I am willing to spend extra on the printer itself if it is really efficient with ink, and if the ink cartridges are reasonably priced. From everything I gathered from research, I've finnaly come down to this printer, the Canon imageCLASS D420 2711B062AA MFC from newegg for $99. IT takes cartridges that can print up to 2000 pages, which is what I need. And the ink only cost around $40 per cartridge, which is amazing for 2000 pages.
I am just wondering if anyone else has the same problem and if they have found a better solution. Also, with this printer, will the ink dry out if it is not used for a month or so (lets say a summer break) because every printer that I've owned the ink dries up incredibly fast when not used.
Here is the link to the printer.

Thanks for you help. I am going to pull the trigger on this printer either tonight or tomorrow morning so I need some quick advice now.
TLTR: I need help finding an economically viable printer to print around 2000 pages a month. Any suggestions?
