Looking for a new mouse

1. What's your grip style?

I claw-grip the mouse, with my middle finger placed below the scroll wheel, and my ring finger placed on the right mouse button, unlike other claw-gripers I've seen.

2. What's your sensitivity?

800 dpi.

3. What's your maximum budget?

35 € / 45 $.

4. Do you want additional buttons?

I don't really care.

5. What games do you play?

Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

6. Do you mind about prediction?

No.

7.Other relevant information.

I need a mouse that's very comfortable, so that it doesn't cause fatigue when gaming for extended amounts of time.

It needs to be very lightweight, so that I can move it using only my fingertips.

LOD needs to be really low, though I will make exceptions for cases where that be accomplished by firmware update, or using the mouse on certain surfaces.

Thanks.

the best mouse for you here will be the razer abyssus by a landslide. Unless you wan't to wait for BST's new mouse coming out in early december or something like that.

Abyssus unless you want sidebuttons then fork out a little more and get a Zowie AM.

I see a consensus in this thread.

There are a couple of mice that I'm currently considering, namely the CM Storm Spawn, the Logitech G300, the Thermaltake Azures Mini, and indeed, the Razer Abyssus. But what I'd like to know is, why is the Abyssus a better choice?

Both Abyssus and Spawn use a similar sensor, which is the best out of those you named. The rest depends on your preference of shape/grip, need of side buttons, driver etc, and price, i guess.

Even if a mouse uses the same sensor code (Ex. A3090) or architecture, tracking quality with differ by quality of firmware and hardware chosen by the company.

How do Abyssus and Spawn differ in the qualities you have mentioned?

I actually really like the Spawn, it's just that I'm very skeptical about some of its ergonomic features, particularly the right-side "extension" (don't know how else to call it). Apparently, you're supposed to rest your ring finger there, but given that I always hold my ring finger on the right mouse button, I'd end up resting my pinky on the extension instead, which I'm not sure would give me a very good grip of the mouse.

Am I right, or is the surface of the Spawn easy to grip that way?

I've read a number of reviews for the Razer Abyssus, and many of the same criticisms seem to be leveled at it time and time again: the feet are very rigid, the mouse doesn't track accurately on all surfaces, and the lift off distance is obnoxious for low sensitivity players.

I'd imagine that the first point is relative to the mousepad being used, so perhaps that wouldn't be that big of a problem. The other two points, however, are fairly major concerns for me. Can someone who uses an Abyssus address these issues?

What are the best surfaces/mousepads to use the mouse on? And are there ways to lower the lift off distance?
