Hey guys. Paycheck is coming and I'm treating my self to an upgrade from my 450GTS (SSD and new monitor next biggrin.gif )
I am trying to pick between these 3 as of now.

http://www.microcenter.com/product/355794/N560GTX-TI_NVIDIA_GeForce_GTX_560_Ti_Twin_Frozr_II_1024MB_GDDR5_PCIe_20_x16_Video_Card
Openbox on that one is 210 (It's my local microcenter if anything wrong can return)

http://www.microcenter.com/product/378160/ZT-50203-10M_NVIDIA_GeForce_GTX_570_1280MB_GDDR5_PCIe_20_x16_Video_Card
231 open box on that one..openbox "missing cables"... doesn't matter, my PSU has the cables needed...

http://www.microcenter.com/product/386227/015-P3-1480-KR_NVIDIA_GeForce_GTX_480_1536MB_GDDR5_384-bit_PCIe_20_x16_Video_Card
240 new... Can probably pricematch to 200 off Newegg, microcenter is pretty nice :3

So of those 3, which is better and why... And can you recommend any others for under 230 or so? Trying to keep under 250 with tax.
Only buying from my local microcenter (Overland Park KS store)..
Okay w/ Refurb/openbox/etc obvs... So if you cant pick one of these 3 and have some extra time... check the rest of the selection?

I'm buying today (meaning Wednesday) probably about 5-6 PM... So! Rush me with suggestions please smile.gif

As of now I'm leaning to the 480 simply because I can get it $40 cheaper, 50 once you count in tax (Assuming Microcenter will pricematch)
As far as buying from interwebs.... I rarely if every do for PC parts because there is a chance it will be DOA and I refuse to wait 2 weeks to get another when I can go to microcenter adn get another same day. Hell I could take it back and say "Mudkipz" and they'd give me full refund, they are great like that...
Also when it comes to graphics I'm a green man. Sowwy.

Okay, it's your money your choice. I'm just saying it pulls less watts and outperforms all of those handily, even moreso when overclocked. I never understood the reason people are loyal to ATI/NVIDIA other than "perceived douchebaggery" going on between the companies. Either in failure to put in the time to fix drivers or business practices etc. I'm switch left and right to wherever is best for my money.

955 + 5850 --> 955 + 560 ti 448 --> now going to --> i5-3570k + 7950, swapping back and forth

Going with a 480 doesn't seem like a good idea since it pumps out so much heat and it's also 3 generations old now. Enough from my mouth, you've said what your requirements are so that be it! Enjoy your purchase.

I'd go 570. I had one for a while and it was a champion of a card. Would max pretty much anything at 1920x1200.

I also had a 560Ti for a bit and it seemed to get around the same performance, granted I just played games on the TV with it and those were only controller games but still... it maxed Arkham Asylum that's all I can remember. biggrin.gif

7850/7870 and the 570 trade blows across the board. The amd set uses less power and has more vram. I think you would be happy with either. Im very happy with my 570s.

I would go with a 7870 myself too, but between those three I would get the GTX 570, less power/heat compared to the 480.
in your case, I would vote for the 480. if heat is something you dont mind then yeh. i would save 50 bucks and have a hotter card
(50 bucks is a big difference for a college student)

GTX 480 on newegg are going for 199.99 (plus a limited promotion code that makes the card go for a total of 159.99 USD + free shipping and no tax (in my area)

$40 off w/ promo code HARDOCPX829D, ends 9/4
