Picked up the same today at MC...my Asus P8P67-M Pro mATX board just crapped out on me last Friday. While I was walking around the store, I also picked up a Bitfenix Prodigy for $75...think I might be headed back to watercooling in the near future biggrin.gif

After switching from Bios v1.30 to v1.70, Core speed according to CPU-Z stays constant at max speed even with speedstep enabled. Anyone else having this problem? It doesn't drop to 1.6ghz like before over here.

It's at 4ghz now with or without speedstep. Even by pressing the CMOS button and going back to default settings, it doesn't go down to 1.6ghz.
I might try reverted the bios version.

CPU-Z says mine is always 5100, when it isn't, try checking using the ATXU, but you'll find it is speed stepping, but CPU-Z failing to report it.
