I will most likely get that, its not worth getting a similar performing desktop drive that is 4 times bigger physically but only 250gb bigger. I am not even using 320gb of my current hdd, but it was an old drive from a laptop I had and I dont want it to fail, its very slow anyway. The only thing that really takes up space is games, I have 200gb worth of games now, but I will never use 750gb of games, well 691gb formatted. I dont just buy games because they are on sale. I buy quality over quantity.

Prob noob Q but, how do I force a constant multiplier?

When I am idle, CPU-Z reports my fsb to be running at 1600mhz (16x) and then when I begin a process it jumps up to 33x--what I fixed it to in the BIOS.
I have disabled thernal throttling, C1E, Speedstep/Turboboost and some other things in the BIOS and that hasn't seemed to fix anything.

That's a misconception about overclocking. As long as you don't touch the voltage, any component will run the same temps. Heat increase is caused by more voltage used, meaning more wattage dissipated.

You might have the C1E set on auto. Make sure you keep throttling on, that's your one and only fail-safe for overheating. Just wondering but why disable idle state? It keeps your proc running cool and saves a few cents on your electric bill.

Would a wd 750gb 7200rpm laptop drive be good for sff, because I dont see a desktop drive fitting very good in my case. And if I need more storage I can just get a external drive.

I stopped buying 3.5" drives for desktops, i only get them for my raid box as storage.

My in rig drives are SDD + 2.5" drive that ether has a dedicated cache drive ontop of it or hardware level cache ie momentus XT

I would consider 85-95 as the max safe temp for long periods of Prime95. That said, you don't really need to overclock.
As for the clicking sound, it might be your PSU when you try to boot up and your system won't accept the high RAM OC. My PSU makes a loud click when I boot up, shutdown, or reboot. Otherwise the only thing that could be clicking is your HDD or fan(s).

Kokin i have found out what was making that clicking sound. Done the overclock again to the ram and opened the side panels. What happens is that the cpu cooler fan and case fan and the blue case led switches on then switches off this happens about anywhere from 3 to 5 or probably a little more then am in windows. But i have a corsair ax750 so am sure it has enough power. Any idea what is causing this. Also when i stay on 2000mhz no clicking sound at at all

That's strange, you only have it when you fail to boot up. Did you install any motherboard speakers? The only other thing I can think of would be the motor(s) of any of your fans.

I'm assuming you don't have an HDD somewhere in your build, but if you do, failing to boot up may cause that clicking noise with the magnetic arm of the drive. My Seagate drives go to sleep after a while, but once I access them, they make a loud spinning sound followed by a few clicks.
