More tuning and I just scrape under throttle in Prime95 after 10 minutes of running. I am running +0.004 turbo offset and -0.005 base offset. I am happy with it staying under 80 in gaming. I have a dual screen setup and monitor temps all the time on the 2nd anyways.

One funny thing I think I had happen... The multiplier seemed to 'stick'. My machine wouldn't idle down to 16x after manually setting BIOS to 43. I had to go back into BIOS, set it to Auto, reboot, then go back in and set 43. This is with the latest beta BIOS, by the way.

Here's my updated CPU-Z Validation:

And while normally not my style (plus the black + white matches my case and theme) it occurred to me that the 24 carat gold-plated Apogee HD would look pretty damn sweet on this board.

Hey HPE1000, what's it take to get in the club? smile.gif

Anywho, any body have ideas for external water cooling on the SG05? I'm convinced my Sandy can do 5.0 and will be looking for solutions.

CPU-Z Validation, and I think 5 should be pretty easy, I dont have sb, but my ivy bridge can do 4.7ghz on my 25mm thick rad with 1 fan and it touches 80c and nothing more. And ivy is considerably hotter when overclocking. I dont think external watercooling is necessary for you.

Crap, just noticed I misspelled my username in CPU-Z...

I was thinking external due to wanting to keep both my hard drives and my optical drive.

Added anyway, and I get that, idk how you would do it, I had always thought something like an h100 on the top with the tubes running into the case, but it could either look great, or horrible.

I was thinking of coming out the back and having something on top maybe, but it would be somewhat difficult due to the top of the case being removable.
I am in HVAC design and have a full blown sheet metal and pipe shop at my disposal, maybe I could get real creative. thumb.gif
Perhaps modifying one of the kits such as the Antec Kuhler with longer hoses would work if I could find a good spot to hide the radiator.
