So I have a quick question here, I've upgraded my machine to Win8 Pro and am loving it, just realized however that my BIOS screen no longer shows up during bootup and even if I hit the delete key to enter BIOS is still boots right to win8.

Any ideas on whats up? I looked at available BIOSes at ASRock support site and see they have one listed that mentions adding Win8 support - should I flash this and if so how do I go about that since I can no longer see the BIOS screen or post etc?

Appreciate any help in advance!

hardly elegant though if you need to pull out your rig and remove the panels and unplug a drive then only to repeat it again in reverse to use the computer as normal

You aren't connecting your keyboard to a USB 3.0 slot correct? If so, that might be causing problems.

Can you confirm which BIOS version you already have installed? As far as I am aware only the beta BIOS version L.1.33 supports the installation of Windows 8, if you have this installed there will be an option for “Ultra Fast” booting in the BIOS, if you have selected this is makes use of the ultra fast booting using Asrocks beta BIOS and Windows 8, but this comes at the cost of not been able to get into the BIOS, unless you hit the reset CMOS button, which of course will reset all the values in the BIOS. I’m not a great fan of this feature, better to choose the “Fast” option, which only removes the ability to boot from USB, if you like me enjoy poking about in the BIOS from time to time.

That's the most hassle-free way to get the BIOS to show itself!

Also, make sure the computer isn't just sleeping. Win8 might default to an s3 suspend which makes the computer seem off, but avoids the bios when it goes to s0.
