VGA and HDMI artifacts, help

Hey people.

Just got myself a Zotac 670, over two 460's in SLI. Pretty happy with its performance, about 1.500 more points in 3dmark11.

I have a non-HDMI monitor, I connect my computer with my screen via VGA. With my 460 SLI, this never caused me any problem or any visual bugs, however, with the 670 its different.

The 670 connected via VGA cable creates old-tv-like white lines, that go from the top to the bottom of the screen. Imagine a old tv, just like that, white transparent shades just moving up and down.

I borrowed a friends HDMI monitor, and the problem doesnt exist there, so its a VGA issue. I also noticed the more in load the gpu is, the more old-tv effects there are. After the 670 purchase a new monitor is out of question while I save some money biggrin.gif

TLDR: gpu under load creates little artifacts only visible in VGA and not HDMI, what do?

Have you tried both DVI outputs on the back of your card?

One of the DVi outputs on the 670 is Digital only, so it shouldn't even work, but you never know.

Yeah one is, but I've never tried plugging a VGA cable into one, so I wouldn't know what would happen. Like you said, I would have thought it wouldn't work at all.
