Modding Zowie ec1 evo, reducing weight

Hello.

I have been using a zowie ec1 evo for quite some time now (6/11 with 1150 dpi and 1000 Hz) and i like it very much. However, im having some issues related to friction and i think i could mitigate it if i could reduce the weight of the mouse. It weighs 97 g and i am wondering if anyone here knows how i can remove as much weight as possible. I dont need the scroll, not using any side buttons. Basically i only need the sensor and the 2 main buttons while leaving the shape and the stability intact. I assume some people here have experience with modding mice, how much do you think i can reduce the weight of my ec1 evo? And how should i go about it?

Update: I had an old Zowie EC1 (non evo) laying around at home (havnt used it since i upgraded to eVo) so i decided to see what i could do to reduce its weight. I used a saw, some other tools, and some brute force (although i was carefull not to break anything i didnt want to remove) and this is the result thus far (not everything i removed can be seen on the pic, like 2 screws on the bottom among some other things, but most of it can be seen on the pic);

Edit: I have now weighed both the non modded EC1 evo and the modded EC1, 99 g vs 87 g.

tongue.gif I use a hybrid, but even when im doing a palm grip on this modded one it feels good. The area that is removed wouldnt have touched my hand even when palming it (my palming is not so my fingertips are at the very end of the buttons though, i guess someone who palms and also places his hand far up on the mouse would be affected indeed).

Well, like stated, i modded an old EC1 (a non evo) that im not using anymore (because of the sensor). But from my testing thus far i really like it so im considering giving my ec1 evo similar treatment (perhaps keeping the scroll though). I actually got it down to 82 grams by removing even more not needed plastic, so then i can afford a few extra grams that comes with the scroll.
