Black screen when uninstalling driver

Thread Starter
Whenever I use the Clean Install option in the nvidia driver install screen, or when I uninstall via control pannel my monitor goes to No Signal Detected and stays there, never turning back on, my keyboard also stops working. I then have to press the reset button on my case and do the driver install again, which works the second time since it does seem to clear the drivers I just get no signal when I remove them and cant do anything. I know the drivers didn't do this with my other nvidia card I had before this 670, so is this a 600 series issue? does anyone else have this problem? the drivers always seem to work fine I just find it an annoying problem.

Yeah, it happens to me as well. I always uninstalled previous drivers first and cleaned thing up then installed the new ones. Had no problem with my 580 doing it this way.

Now I boot into safe mode to change drivers for the 670. That was my monitor has no signal to lose.
