The HX and EarthWatts are old, discontinued units, not particularly good deals, the AX on the other hand is priced well and it's a very good option (though he doesn't actually need to spend that much).

@OP,

OCZ ZT 550W @ 60$, solid fully modular mainstream unit, well priced.

Rosewill Capstone 550W @ 100$, excellent high end unit, modular, well priced as well.

I've looked at both that OCZ and Capstone for myself, and was very impressed. Great suggestions Sin thumb.gif

Now with my computer what kind of difference would I be looking at between those 2, would the first be just capable of this but not a ton more and the 2nd able to have upgrades put on in the future or what?

Also thanks in advance for the knowledge on this I think with computers power supplies are a very unknown aspect of buildings computers for myself anyways like those ones I was linking you had some 800 reviews of mostly 4-5 stars on tiger direct tonssssss of people buying them and if there just crap compared to these similairly priced ones you posted, that's just obnoxious because those of us who don't know just go oh look it has lot's of watts and that brand is cool for this other things, must be a great unit...

Edit: Also I wanted to clarify you guys do agree my current PSU is not capable of running the hardware I have correct?

Never buy a PSU due to it's newegg/ncix/tigerdirect/etc rating/reviews... the vast majority of people posting them and rating the units, can't tell an choke from a capacitor, never mind actually understanding performance metrics and such. wink.gif

Moving on to the units in question, the Capstone offers superior electrical performance to the ZT (better regulation, better output quality, better response to transients and cross-loading), superior efficiency, it's really quiet and it overloads really well too (can deliver 650W+ while only sustaining a minor efficiency drop). That doesn't make the ZT a poor unit, on the contrary, it's a good choice for the money, it's just not a top performer.
There are other options as well, but value wise these two are among the best I've found browsing through ncix and newegg, you can check out the non modular Capstones as well (if modularity is not important), they can save you some money, also the Rosewill Fortress units are priced really well.

What sort of upgrades to be put on in the future are we speaking of?
For SLI you might want to look into something like the AX 650. Otherwise either of the 550W ones would be great.
Would that be a correct statement Sin?
