Hello OC.net,
Im actively a member on [h]ardforum.com, but after being there a while and realizing how inactive it was, i began searching for a new home, which led me to here
My first build (you can check it out in my profile) was a ton of fun and a hell of a learning experience. I always loved software and programming, but now that ive got my feet wet with hardware, ill never turn back, its just an awesome hobby.
From here, i plan on diving into the world of water-cooling. Ill have to wait until the money comes into to do that, unfortunately
So in the mean time, i plan on ripping out the mobo's of some old PCs (junkers) that im being given for free, and starting my own test-bench off of em. While the CPU/mobo of these POS computers isnt worth much and is glacially slow by todays standards, i am hoping to OC them and build a custom SFF box to place the best performing OCed CPU/mobo into. Itll probably be made out of wood or plexi-glass (that would be cool too, huh?), and just run a few small fans and use the on-board graphics. Its more of a challenge than a gaming PC
Well, for now, ill browse the forums and start chatting!
Peace,
Eric

I love it, but its definitely not silent. Including the H100s two small fans, i have 8 total in my case (3 intake, 2 directed at the CPU, 3 exhaust) and when all are on 50%, its quite loud. Right now i have 6 fans running, so i hope thats all i really need, and will probably take out one or two. With 4 fans running on 40-50% and my two CPU rad fans running on the middle setting, its pretty quiet (save for the pump).
