Memory usage problem while playing BF3

Hello everyone,

Got a bit of a problem that has been going on lately. Sometimes when I am playing BF3, I will start to get tremendous lag, (way worse than any fps/net lag). So I exit to desktop and check my temps/performance etc.. It all looks fine except my memory usage in the task manager is right up at 97% of 8GB. Even after I have closed all my programs. No process in the task manager is using over 20mb of RAM but yet it stays at 97% usage until I restart.

This has happened to me three times now over the last 3 days of gaming. Only during BF3 (been playing Dark Souls as well). What does anyone think could be causing this issue?
Personally I'm going to guess that it is windows 8 release preview at fault. What do you think?

Thanks

tried memtest? it sounds like a memory leak through windows 8. i dont know too much about RAM but just give memtest a go and see what comes up. your temps are fine i assume? then again it might just be win8

Thanks for the reply. Ill give memtest a crack tomorrow and see how that goes. Its really strange because i can play for hours on end and not have a problem. Then another time it can happen after 15mins redface.gif
