overclocked too much

Thread Starter
I accidantly overclocked my 7900gto too much, that means I moved the slider of the overclocking program (the one that's integrated in the control center) and now if I start my comp I can't boot, I mean that the stuff on my screen is all stretched and I can't read it anymore. What should I do?

How can I boot in safe mode? I mean, I don't get pretty far. But the weird thing is that 660/800 should actually work..

you should just have to hold...F8 after the post... that should get you the options to go to safe mode.

I somehow managed to get into Windows (not safe mode)
The clocks were already turned back to stock, but there are still some graphic errors. (Monitor flickers, if I start a game it won't work at all and there are everywhere red lines..)

*EDIT*

Yes, I'm using an analog monitor.

You can also hold down the CTRL key as windows starts up to disable the overclock. There is a window that pops up stating this when you first enable overclocking. Guess you missed it
