I just picked up Jetset Radio Future for the original xbox today, and went to play it, and well. it doesn't work". I got a 4gb slim for the microsoft back to school deal, then stuffed in a 250gb microsoft Hard drive. I don't have any other original xbox games to try otherwise I would. Any help on the backwards compatibility.?

Edit: I just tried to do the hack to flash the security sector to the 360. needless to say didn't work. Thank god I backed the sectors up.

I didn't have any problem playing it form the disc on a 360 phatty. I think i have read about your probe while googeling once, think they had to delete the cache uninstall and re download or something.

Even if it did work, you'd be experiencing...

It says "NO" under widescreen, so it may mean it will just stretch or won't work at all. Try changing your resolution to a 4:3 one.

Tried changing the resolution and clearing the cache. No dice.

The hard drive apparently a Microsoft branded drive (I got it for $60 on Amazon)

They use WD drives in the enclosures. Anyway, I don't think it's that. It could just be because it's a Slim. I doubt the backward compatible game list was updated after the release of the Slim for some reason. Sucks. Perhaps you can buy it from the market? I imagine if it's there and doesn't work you could probably get a refund at least. Just make sure you check the fine print if you go that way. That's really only if you NEED to play that game. Or break out an original Xbox I guess.

Mine shows up on my PC as a Seagate Momentus ST9320325AS in the enclosure.

The Dreamcast version (Jet Set Radio) is coming on the 12th http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Jet-Set-Radio/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d80258411247 but I want the xbox one.

Thrift store has an original one for $50 with controller and cords. but that's a lot of money to sink into for one game (unless Halo and Halo 2 don't work either.)
