Hwbot noob, need a nudge

When I got my Sapphire 6850 awhile back, there wasn't a single submission for it. I wanted to be the first but once I got into it, all the requirements were overwhelming and the number of benchmarks as well.

Then I reached 1030mhz with the card and wanted to submit again but ONCE AGAIN I was overwhelmed.

Then I got a 7750 for a bit. Once again... very little submissions ( I think just a couple at the time?).

Now both the 6850 and 7750 have been sold. frown.gif

Today I have my 1055T OC'd to 4 ghz and the 6950 OC'd to 1050mhz. And I could go higher on the 6950 but need to learn about RBE first.

But for the heck of it I wanted to bench it tonight so I go the the Hwbot site to pick one. Once again I'm overwhelmed. I don't know which to choose. I checked out the getting started and essentials guide but didn't find my answer.

What do I do? confused.gif

For 3d submissions (benchmarking the gpu) the basics for the submission are:
the resolution should be visible, so for the 3dmark benches that have the popup window for the score, move the popup a bit so the resolution is visible. if you have to get the score online, have that score visible in the background.
open gpu-z
open 2 x cpu-z, leave one on the default cpu tab, change the other to the memory tab
Screenshot.

Aquamark & heaven bench need to use the hwbot front end which can be DL'ed at hwbot

2d benchies (like superpi & wprime), follow the same format but don't need the gpu-z tab.

Only issue with your hardware is the AMD processor, you can still get hardware boints but AMD doesn't do that great in 3d benchmarks, so scores may look a bit lower than average when comparing against intel systems.

Oh, ok thanks for letting me know about AMD systems getting lower scores.

But how do I know which benchmark to try? All of them?

Yep all of them. You can get points in each benchmark for any piece of hardware. Take your screenshot as FTW described. Post it here if you want someone to critique it for you and ensure you got everything you need. Then post the screenshot to HWBOT once you have an account set up (and make sure you put Overclock.net as your team). Try to fill in the blanks as best you can but they aren't all necessary, try to hit the important stuff (GPU and CPU). Hit the submit button and your good to go.

  • Unigen Heaven (must be HWBot version)

  • WPrime 1024M
  • PiFast

There are other benchmarks available... some that give points and some that do not. Be sure to check the rules pages for each benchmark to verify that you are using the correct version.

Yeah I signed up like a year or 2 ago. Just to try it but didn't.

Mostly I'm interested now because I want to test stability of my system using a couple of benchmarks after doing Prime already. I always find that one or the other never really truly test the stability, must do all things.
