Advice Needed OC'd 1055T with GA990XA-UD3 can someone check my set up.

Hi i am new to overclocking anything but BE cpu's so would like to here comments on m y set up and if anyone can give me some advice on my voltages and settings that would be great, i figure i should be able to make 4.ghz with my liquid cooled set up and installing a new 850W quad rail psu today as well.

I am running at 3.7ghz at the moment and with the +10 allowance on the temp diodes my highest running temp so far has been 28/30 *C @ 100% cpu load with idle temps of between 19/23 *C with +10

Thanks everyone for any advice in advance and i will post some images of the bios in the next 12.hrs.

That's great thanks, at least one voltage was probably low, the cpu v. i will try and set it up again, but will possibly settle on 3.5ghz once i see how far i can go with it.

After reading everything i could and taking all the advice into account, i have settled on an OC of 3.6ghz and running stable now, i stress tested for 3 hours with prime and then an hour on amd overdrive stability test.

my settings

cpu ratio x14
cpu V. @ 1.357v idle, and 1.456v max load, but sometimes peaking @ 1.472v with L.L.C on (but this has 5 settings, on auto at the moment)
fsb 258
ram 1357 @ 1.65v
NB.V. 1.25v

Get your bus clock (FSB, though it's not really called that anymore) to a bang-on 300Mhz. From there you can easily calculate your CPU, NB and RAM speeds and such from the multipliers. 300Mhz will give you DDR3-1600 operation at multiplier x5.33, up to 3Ghz CPU-NB operation and up to 4.2Ghz CPU operation. Have your bus clock up there at your target before even adjusting via multipliers and you might find your process to be much faster. In between your quick clock speed changes (i.e. before reaching your target clocks) use a faster stability test like IBT.

If 300 is stable right away try bumping your NB V from 1.1 to 1.2V
