As someone who uses a lot of 4G data (I have around 750 posts here, around 700 of which have been from my GNex, including this), I adamantly disagree about not needing 4G data. I am grandfathered in to Unlimited via Verizon (which, at an average of 38MB/s down and 11MB/s up, is faster than the vast majority of home broadband). I have had my Galaxy Nexus since 9AM launch day, and I have yet to actually use less than the 2GB cap, I usually am around 5GB and I don't stream full movies or anything like that. Factor in WiFi and it's way more, usually 12GB total per month. I no longer get throttled, either, after a few phone calls explaining how I have been a loyal customer with 5 lines and paid for unlimited everything for 10yrs, and I have yet to see a friend come anywhere close to the speeds I get. In fact, one friend with an iPhone paid the early termination fee to get rid of his 4S (max speed ever was around 1.7MBs down and 0.9MBs up), and now enjoys being able to tether, has rooted his phone and can actually use Netflix on the go!
I am sorry, but iPhones are pathetically outdated and I don't see this changing anytime soon. The 4S was already underpowered when it was released, but the useless Retina display was so heavily advertised (along with the Face time feature that I have yet to see actually work as advertised) that people lined up to buy them. Apple is an advertising firm, one that happens to sell one-off products stolen from other companies, nothing more. They are an excellent advertising firm, no argument there, in fact one of the best. The problem is, there is nothing more than that. All flash and no substance.
