Which Nvidia 600 series card to put on Water Loop?

So I own a standard EVGA 680 card and I was looking to redo my case and possibly add the video card onto the water loop.

I have a replacement warranty with Microcenter and I can exchange the card for another one and get my full payment back (minus the warranty). So I have options to get another card.

Maybe the hydro copper with the water block on it? or a 4gb card since my is only 2?
Or even down grade to a 670 and think about spending a little more and getting them in SLI..

I have a year on the warranty so I could just wait for prices to fall and see if when the new 700 series is ready to launch.. But I am redoing my case now, so I thought I would consider it..

Opinions are appreciated.

I'd try to save a little bit more & get dual 670s that would be better IMO, but I'm not sure on adding them both to the loop, depends on what big of a rad u have.

I have a 360 rad now and I'll probably be adding a 240 in addition to that..

Should be enough to handle it

Dual 4gb 670s would be awesome! You prolly want to get another 360 rad, also maybe another pump to keep head pressure up.

I dont know if the 810 (case im looking at upgrading too) supports 2 360s...

I just tested my 680 and its running at 96% on 3 monitors with like 30fps.. but only 1.2gb of memory used.. not sure if the 670 4gb card would up the fps..?

Ahhhh the mysteries of Vram.

Technically more Vram helps the frame rate when you are using more than one monitor. Tom's Hardware has some graphs that show that one triple monitors the 7970 actually performs better than the GTX 680 because it has more Vram. To me that is very weird because most games, even if they are running at max on high resolution screens don't usually break 2GB of Vram.

So the 4GB cards would help. If I were you, I would return the GPU, then I would go buy 2 of the galaxy GTX 670 4GB cards and call it done smile.gif
