Is this enough insulation for a safe DICE run?

So i just got back from my local Home Depot and spent $22 on these items.

The Closed Cell Foam is 1/2 " THICK and I'm planning on cutting it into 6 " - 12 " pieces and putting them under books for a day or so to flatten.

What else would you guys get to not screw stuff up on a DICE run?
