It's not difficult to work in Windows, it's just the little quirks of Windows that makes me want to put my fist through the screen. OS X is much more refined.

Also, I don't get customer support when I build my own PC, which I would do before I buy one from Dell or another PC company. That's what this site is mostly for, building your own computer and making it as fast as you can

But I never had any amazing experiences with a Mac, and I wasn't impressed.

But we all have our opinions

And thank God you, or anyone else responding to me, were crazed Mac users that would start cussing me out and declaring that Microsoft is the Devil and Apple is God. Part of the reason I'm somewhat against Macs is the users, they don't shut up about them and they try to make you believe as they believe. Sheesh.

Thank you for not being that way *shakes fist*

That's my
LOL, so true.
I have nothing against Mac or OS X. I think there great for some things as Windows is great for others. I just know that if I ever got a notebook its getting Linux on it.
Mac notebooks are just too expensive for me.

Also Windows is the Devil and Apple is not god...long live Unix/Linux

Maybe. I haven't used it extensively, so I can't really be an authorative opinion.

And I agree with you, including that last part. I have Windows/Fedora dual boot on this comp, but I play games so much I don't boot into Fedora too much, so I'm still very new to Linux

I need to get off the games for a few months and just use Linux, just to learn to use it decently.

Anyways, I think you shouldn't spend so much money on something that's not that important anyways. I think you should get either a cheaper PC laptop, or live with what you have

Everyone's always spending money at such a young age on things that they don't need or aren't even too important... I think when you're young you should save your money for investing. That's my opinion.

Also,
[OffTopic] Thank goodness it's Friday. [/OffTopic]

Let everything marinate for a bit, I have never spent more than 200 dollars in my life without at least thinking things over for a week, if I find something I want to buy, I consider it for awhile, maybe not a month, but at least a week, I do my research, then after I conssider things a bit more if I still want it, then I work on getting it. I don't just see something then buy it, that is the worst thing you could do. 2 days is not enough.

Isn't it just command line after command line. Wow this is turning out to be an awesome battle. I hear things about people loving there macs. When you are on a mac you are part of this weird tip of clic where you are special in a world of windows. Same with Linux all the kids in my school that use linux have those tux t shirts they always where to show there pride for Linux.

oh man i think they woudl get there ass kicked for wearing a linux tshirt at my old school, anyways

go get a job or get straight a's, either are doable, even if your jussst mowing lawns or detailing cars or something like that youd hav ethe money in a couple of weeks or month at the most, heck look into delivering papers (unless you live in da hood)

theres allways a way to get er done you just gotta figure it out, my first job with a paycheck was when i was 11 and i got paid 2.50$ an hour to maintain a ladies 10 acre facility (land scaping mainly)

you can even get your own checking account when your younger just have your parents sign up with you

edit: lol beat me to the paper route thing

Macs are WAAAAY overpriced IMO. You can build a PC with better specs for about half the cost of a Mac PC. I haven't compared their laptops though, but I would say they are overpriced as well seeing as they are a minimum of about $1300, and up to $3,000.

They arnt overpriced. For the size of them its a deal, PC's dont compare to them in that respect. And their "desktops" are workstations, which in a comparison go right with the price of Dell and other PC vendor workstations.

Besides which, now all the new ones that use Core or Core2 can run Windows XP natively.
