Please refer to my link detailing the profit margins of Microsoft and Apple. Please tell me how such consistency is indicative of a company crippled by inefficiencies. They know not to overextend which is exactly what Apple is doing.

OCN thread regarding MS culture and corporate

Also, profit margins are not a substantiated premise for such a claim. More indicative would be cumulative stock points/volume. That of which MS is NOT stable.

Go back to the bowels of Bing from which you came, MS Fanboy.

I fail to see how it isn't. Lay it out for me. How is speculation and rumor a better indicator?

I remember when I was in high school, you would see these kids wear Nike shoes, and then everyone would follow. Some girl would have a Prada bag, and other girls would do the same and so on. The exact same thing is happening with the iPhone. I see 14/15 year old kids with iPhones, yet these kids have no idea what it is or how much it costs, the parents pay for it of course. All they want is an iPhone because everyone has it. This is, however, not limited to teenagers, most adults are also influenced by branding.

This x100.
the iPhone is the current brand fad. In my area FUBU and Phat Farm shoes were HUGE in the 90s, everybody eventually had a pair then stopped caring because they were nothing new.
People just want whats cool, they don't bother to think that there are 1,000s of Android based phones that blow the iPhone away, they just want to be with the "in crowd". Perhaps Apple sells so many iPhones because there are too many Android phones, too many to choose, so many different options... they just give up and go to the iPhone..?
Eventually people will get bored of Apple products and move on.

EDIT: Meant to edit that last one. Sorry.

It's actually quite good. You get to make a character on one of the first four classes in the main game (PC, PS3, 360 versions) and play throughout the levels, levelling up and such as normal. The graphics are toned down form the PC release, of course, but it looks pretty damn good. IT functions great. If you try it the only advice I'd feel I had to give was to put the controls on screen (found via the options) it's much easier to suss out the controls from that point.

If you've played the PC release it's definitely worth a go. Not sure if it's free on iOS, but it's free on Android smile.gif

Take a higher edu economics/organizational course for your answer. Not wasting my time.

Speculation/rumor of company politics is not a better indicator but rather food for thought, esp in regards to your bold statements pertaining to MS. Perhaps in gaining a more cumulative insight to the industry and its reflective tendencies/policies, however it's difficult to ignore the bottom line. Stock points.

Uh. Not all of us buy expensive brand name stuff because it's cool. I own 5 pairs of >$100 basketball shoes because I actually appreciate the various areas they excel in (for example, my KD IVs are very light, my LeBrons offer great cushioning, etc). Though I am guilty of buying those ridiculously overpriced elephant print AF-1s.

As far as the iPhone goes, it's far more rare that anyone actually has a good reason to use it over an Android equivalent, so you are right there...

You're asking to "lay out" an answer to a question that I can't answer. Teams of marketing/eco devote mountains of research/publications to questions like these. I'm not ignorant enough(nor am I an armchair economist) to believe it can be answered in a simple paragraph on an internet forum because it doesn't work like that.

I do know however that MS is in dire need of restructure w/360 peer review. The corporate structure from the 90s doesn't cut it anymore. Anyone who disagrees with this unanimously is indeed blind.

Wow, reading comprehension fail. The 500-1000 is part of the myth floating around with absolutely zero evidence to back it up. Apple was already in the green by the time Microsoft settled with Apple for copying them. Learn your history before talking about a subject you know next-to-nothing about. Jobs killed off the clones and streamlined the product offerings when he came back aboard. This isn't high-school gossip land. Although at the same time, I do realize this is OCN and don't expect many educated people to respond in Apple threads. If you actually think $150 million made a difference to a company with investors with billions you've got a ton of reading up to do. Even Jobs invested more of his personal money than that into Apple.
