Recommend PSU?

Can somebody recommend me a PSU? I've recently revamped a lot of stuff in my rig but left a pretty old generic Zalman 500w PSU in there, think its time for a change!

Looking to spend around £100 ($150) and would prefer it to be modular. The color scheme I've got in my system is black and red, so it would be nice if it went along with that, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't.

The system in question is the one in my sig

here are a few nice options all are decent but trying to conform to your specs has made the price a bit inflated

Antec HGC-620M-GB 620W High Current Gamer

FSP Aurum 80 PLUS Gold 650w Modular

Thermaltake TPG-650M PSU

Thermaltake TPG-750M Toughpower Grand 750W (dont get why the 750 is cheaper then the 650)

the thermatake's suit your theme the best

all are good and enough for even 2 7950's

A silverstone strider unit tongue.gif They're all good biggrin.gif

The 750w plus, 850 plus and 850 gold should all be in your budget range, they're all fully modular and both plus units are silver and the gold.. well. gold. Otherwise look for the antec units smile.gif

a lot of overclocking you mean

you can run 2 of almost any graphics card on it and still clock the color off the pcb thumb.gif

A 450 or 500 watt PSU would actually be plenty for said rig including overclocks, dunno why everyone's recommending such massive overkill when there is no crossfire to speak of.

I have been considering throwing another 7950 in there, I like a good couple hundred watts overhead too.

I did suggest in the 650 watts range because he has a high end rig that would benefit from crossfire

but the 750 grand turned out cheaper then the 650 grand and it suited his demands on colour and modularity
