Msi R6870 Hawk, changing heatsink and fan

Hi,

I have a Msi R6870 Hawk with "Twin Frozr III", I have a problem with a fan and I need to change it.
The problem is tha compatibility with my GPU because I don't think my Msi R6870 is the same as the default AMD RADEON 6870 one, so I don't know what to choose.

Do you know a very good heatsink for my gpu and 2 very good fans to buy? I'm watching the Zalman fans (92mm), they are amazing so I need a heatsink that is compatible with my gpu e the zalman fans.

Thanks

Eh, can you elaborate on 'problem' with the fan?

The hawk fans are really good and if it's defunct just do a RMA, otherwise i can't remember if you're able to change the HSF on the non twinfrozr/hawk models of MSI cards.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah, as above, if it's broke, RMA. The TFIII is a damn good cooler.

it's a strange noise from one fan, I used lubrificant and now luckly it's good but I don't know. Usually the fans are are structured in a way that lets you open them and clean them but this fans are different. in the meanwhile I'd like to find a replacement because I can't use RMA.

You might want to look into the Ultra U12-40659 Carbon X4 as a replacement similar to the twin forzor but it's Direct CU with twin 92mm fans. Picked it up from TigerDirect for $15 each.Used them for 2x 6850s which used the 6870 reference layout.
