Also keep in mind that this money is mainly for performance (CPU/GPU/RAM). I will be upgrading to NGN fibre link next year when I move back to Singapore, by then I will have more money for storage.
the red drives have been specifically designed for server/nas use , made to run 24/7 3 year warranty, 24/7 helpline and some other new tech interrated to improve performance in the server environent thumb.gif again if you do have 500 to spend go the i5 and a better mobo for futureproofness!

I don't see how a helpline will benefit me... I don't think the helpline applies to users outside of USA. Seagate barracudas also have a 3 year warranty.

forget the helpline then just saying theyt are better for 24/7 use as they have less movement/vibration, behave better in a raid setup etc nas optimised for reliabilty,

I mean if I were to go build a whole new build, I'd choose the Q12X paired with the ASRock EX4 and 8GB Kingston RAM *2.
