Help!! HD not showing up in My Computer

Thread Starter
Ok here is the low down!

I have a 150g raptor. I hooked it up to my mobo via a IDE to SATA adapter ( I used up all my SATA ports already.) The drive is recognized in BIOS and also in device manager in windows, but wont show up in my computer so I cant access it. Device manager says its working properly.

Anyone have any ideas why its not showing up or how to fix this?

Help MUCH appreciated!
Thanks
Kyle

Assign a drive letter to it in disk manager.

*edit*
Go to Administrative Tools in CP -> Computer Management -> Disk Management -> Right click on the drive -> Assign drive letter

Ya I had the same problem you have to assign a drive letter. If you already have a drive letter remove Norton GoBack.

Any reason using a raptor as a backup drive though?

And I dropped a HDD on my my computer a few months ago. Wonder why the sudden change from the 6800GS to 7600GT?

:***:

Its really a waste to use a Raptor for backup. Shoulda got a 320GB HDD. Hell, a 5400RPM HDD is perfectly fine for storage.
