My new U3011 UltraSharp

Thread Starter
Just got my U3011 yesterday...

So far 1600p + BF3 and GW2 is SICK. I wasn't sure about the matte finish when I ordered it because I typically prefer a glossy screen like the one on my laptop, however really do not mind the matte finish on this one. Some people were really concerned and have expressed that the matte finish is overkill. While you can tell its a matte finish, it is nothing over the edge. I've seen worse..

I use a 22 inch dell monitor at work and as far as the matte coating goes it looks just like the one I have at work...just 1600p and 30 inches big...haha...

This thing is such an improvement over my 1650X1050 monitor that I had on my desktop computer.

BF3 and GW2 run perfectly smooth on ultra settings and looks WONDERFUL. OK now off to kill some more things... smile.gif

I was going to get the u2711, however since Dell gave me a larger gift card than expected...I figured I would go ahead and upgrade to the 30 instead of the 27...And so far...<3

I'm the other way around. The biggest benefit to gaming on such a large monitor (for me) is that it becomes very immersive...and 27" just isn't as immersive as 30". Probably because it's only 72% of the screen area.

Wow, that's some tiny font and UI. 'Course I looking at it on my shrimpy 24" screen - might be bigger in person. wink.gif
