That's a part of the charm. For my viewing distance (anything from 1-3 feet) 30" is the minimum size of a monitor where I don't feel like I'm staring at a monitor anymore, rather a window into the game. (still a window because it doesn't fill all of my view) Having a monitor small enough to view all of it at once comfortably also means that only a slight portion of your field of view will be filled by it, which isn't quite as immersive in my opinion. I find it unfortunate that unless we want to go multi-monitor or limit ourselves to 1920x1080, we're stuck on 30".

Also, as others have said, you get used to the size really fast.

Don't say that I spent 3 weeks convincing myself not to get the U3011. Then another week or so deciding on the U2711. I sit about 14" -24" away from the U2711. Guess I could always get a U3011 instead of a second 27" tongue.gif
