should i root my nexus 7???

hello,
i watched some how to root nexus 7 vids on youtube and am interested in rooting it, but thats only because i want to mount my usb drive using otg adapter.
so is it worth rooting it, are there any risks involved? what are some pros and cons of rooting,

If USB mouting is that important to you. You should really get into the whole ROM world, then you will want to.

what do you mean??? sorry, i am relatively new to android and rooting as i come from apple and jailbreaking and all.. another question, can rooting brick my tab (not if i do something stupid)???

if you did all your steps correctly then no risk of bricking im thinking, and this all thing or rooting is easy one, i even made an xperoid ( xperia x1 with android flashed into NAND, so no more windows mobile)
