Mushkin 1866MHz (16GB) low voltage - overclock potential?

These Mushkin sticks (2 x 8GB) are rated to run at 1866MHz at 1.35V. I'm wondering if I can reasonably expect them to overclock to 9-9-9-24 (or so) at 1.5V (or so) or perhaps something like 2133MHz 11-11-11-28 (or so) at ~1.5V.

Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model 997072

I have no idea how Mushkin RAM usually does in terms of overclocking - just going by the low rated voltage. No reviews anywhere =/

Looks a lot sexier too with that black PCB and gold markings.

Oh I'm using that already in all of my computers! It's the best ram hands down

I'm looking at cheap options for 16 GB in form of 2 sticks, because that's how many my ITX motherboard can fit. I'm used to the overclocking potential of the Samsung RAM, and I don't expect these Mushkins to do as well, but still, they are rated for 1.35V too... So just wondering...

I'm not REALLY PICKY but I can't see myself using ram like the samsung because it looks like trash, It would have to be extremely great performance for me to use that.

Have you even looked at it in person? It looks beautiful. It's black with lots of shiny gold dots on the back side, which is the side visible through my case window. It looks gorgeous in my mini ITX build with a black PCB mini ITX motherboard by ASRock. People are really so biased about heatspreaders, I feel like they overlook some RAM without them. Now generic green PCB ram, I'd agree with - it's pretty bad

Anyway, I need info on this Mushkin RAM!!

At the moment I'm really eyeing up the Patriot Viper 3 Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition. Its blue would perfectly match my mobo's heatsinks and the ram heatsinks arent too big so I wont have any problems with my hpyer 212 evo.

Those are just overpriced eyecandy in my hunble opinion. They don't seem to have much overclocking room and are priced higher than some equivalent RAM... likely just due to the limited edition branding. Unfortunately these would have to be showing their back side on my motherboard anyway, with the ugly "removing this sticker will void warranty" sticker.

What other ram would you recommend since you think these are overpriced? I can sacrifice looks for price and performance.

I too have been looking at these sticks... I tried the Samsung 30nm's which do look quite sexy, but did not have as good of results as I expected so I'm back to my gskill 1600CL7... Does anyone have experience OC'ing these Mushkin Enhanced Blacklines?

I don't believe they're discontinued but all of a sudden, you can't get the 2x4 GB kit from a lot of places. Newegg seems to no longer carry the 8GB kit and only carries 4GB sticks now. Correct me if I'm wrong, because I really hope I am.
