Thats my monitors native resolution, are DVDs 16x9?

Don't run it in a 16X9 resolution. If you did then it would just look blurry and streched out. You have to have the black bars on the top and bottom unless you want to buy a new monitor.

I have a DLP projector in my living room with a twelve foot screen and a bose 7.1 surround system. But I like to lay in my bed and watch DVDs at night.

What it says on the box is "1440x900 resolution"
So what is my aspect ratio 16x9 or 16x10? Wouldn't 16x10 be 8x5?

A lot of movies are actually in a 2.4:1 aspect ratio so no matter what TV or monitor you have there are going to be black bars on those. If your monitor supports 16:9 and you are still getting the black bars then the aspect ratio of the movie is just to wide to be displayed properly on anything but theatre screens. Also this is directed at pink 1366x768 is actually 768P whereas 720P is 1280x720.

Yo! But what if i have "old" graphic card X850XT, i won't be able to run all this modern games on native res. And btw why i need HDCP for Vista? Only for HD/Blue ray movies? I am not going to watch them...i need a good monitor for next 2-3 years, and I' am not going to do my PC upgrade soon. How about good 17"? The resolution of it will fit me. Or 19" I am thinking of Samsung SyncMaster 931C, or BF version (but i am think C is better). Any comments please?

I am not going to get precise with it as it really doesnt matter, if we did technically's all day we would never get anything done lol. Also the actual true resolution of the TV is 1366x768.

EDIT: Can you link us to the monitor?
