BenQ XL2420T vs ASUS VG278HE??

Hey guys, I know this isn't the most fair comparison....but which monitor would you go with? The BenQ XL2420T or ASUS VG278HE?

I'm currently in a dilemma right now...I have the ASUS on order at Amazon...but estimated delivery time is mid October....I simply can't wait that long!! I'm really interested in that monitor because its suppose to take the crown with it's epic 144hz refresh rate....but now I'm kind of looking around for other options.

The BenQ has really caught my attention, as its priced $110 below the Asus...it is a smaller panel at 24 inches, but that doesn't bother me when we are talking 1080p resolution for both panels....and I guess I could sacrifice the extra 24hz, as CallSignVega said in his review, the extra bump in refresh rate isn't whoa, like making the jump from 60-120hz....my main concern however, is the BenQ really bad in color/image quality? I read a few reviews and people gave it negative criticism due to it's inaccurate colors and bad image quality...I also read that the monitor lags and ghosts too?

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1701107

I also read some newegg and Amazon reviews....funny thing is, all 11 Amazon reviews gave it a 5 star....Newegg reviews look very positive as well....so I'm not sure who to believe? I primarily game, but I really don't want my youtube or HD movie experience to look like complete a$$. I also don't want websites like reading OCN to be a complete pain to my eyes

Let me know what you guys think....if I should stick with the ASUS....or make the switch to BenQ and don't worry too much about the negative reviews

What makes the XL2420T so great is that it has no input lag whatsoever so you'll get very fluid gameplay. The colors are mediocre to say the least and in some cases, washed out. I spent about three days calibrating my monitor and in the end I could just not get the colors to match up how I wanted them. In comparison to my previous TN monitor - a Samsung P2450H - the colors on that was night and difference. If you're hoping to get vivid colors on the BenQ, prepare to be disappointed. Not trying to talk crap about the BenQ or anything, just my personal experience.

You might also want to have a look around in the BenQ XL2420T club to see what other people's experiences with this monitor are. On a side note, the difference between the XL2420T and XL2420TX is that the -TX model comes with a built in 3D Vision emitter and a pair of active shutter glasses and the regular -T does not.

Do you have proof that the Benq has less input lag compared to the Asus 144hz?

Ive read that some users overclocked the Asus to 150hz, apparently the jump from 120 to 144hz is not noticable but it is there according a forum member @hardforum.

If I had to choose between the 2 display and the inpu lag is identical then I pick the Asus, I don't know if I like 1080p, I have only had 1080p 23" never owned a bigger screen on 1080p but many pc gamers/users enjoy 27" 1080p.

The XL2420T has close to zero input lag. It's non-existent in most cases putting it in the performance range of a true CRT.

The BenQ XL2420T has very low input lag, and it out classes the Samsung S2xAx50D series.

So does this mean the CRT and the Benq both have 2-3ms lag?
So if the Samsung has 13ms lag then it has 10-11ms more lag vs CRT or Benq?
